ABOUT

Created by kinetic artist Joseph Herscher, funded by NZ ON AIR and filmed at MOTAT, Jiwi’s Machines is a four-part web series packed with physical comedy and mechanical mayhem.

Jiwi builds complicated contraptions to make his life easier, but they inevitably cause chaos for everybody around him, especially for his sister June.

The series is accompanied by a cool series of interactive videos delving into the physics of JIWI’S MACHINES. In these extra science videos, kids can learn about the simple machines and physics at the heart of all machines: wheels and axles, levers, pulleys, inclined planes, Newton’s laws, friction, centre of gravity and much more.

When was the last time you watched a comedy series that had a single-take Rube Goldberg machine in every episode?!
